Like He Did

This month is black history month. Every one Should know that. This month i wanted to share a poem i wrote about how Jesus and Martin Luther King Jr. were similar. I hope you all enjoy this poem.

He stood like a wall

He stood like light in his heavenly name

He fought against  Jim Crow and its unruly law

They cried and mourned for him and his son

He stood on a balcony as he took his last breath

The future greatly affected by their sacrifices

Both paid a great but unequal price

The many will remember his fight

Him being remember for love

His words for equal color rights

and a son who spread his wings like a doves
