Spirit Week Spotlight: Wacky Tacky Wednesday
Not only did yours truly forget that it’s Wednesday, but a very special Wednesday that’s extremely close to my heart, Wacky Tacky Wednesday. While I myself have avoided dressing up for the “holiday,” other students here at SLA are ecstatic to show off what can only be described as, “their personal style.”
“It shows how confident the students are.”
Which is a nice way of saying, “do your parents not monitor what you wear to school?”.
“Wacky Tacky Wednesday is something out of the ordinary, something you can have fun with.”
-Drake (Danny) Hammond
Danny is ironically one of the proud students “reppin” his “style.” And I have inside reports telling me he’s planning on “coming to school as Kanye tomorrow.”
Some of the more festive students came to school wearing Santa hats, my sister being one of them, while others seem to have confused the “holiday” for the slightly more popular, “Pajama day.”
But no matter what day you decide to be out of school dress code, there’s one thing we all have in common, our desire to never be in school uniform again. But despite the inevitable, the students of SLA are proud to “show their spirit” ultimately giving me a great article.
When was the last time you dressed up wacky tacky for an event? Let us know in the comments below!
