Kobe Bryant: A Legend in the Making

Over the weekend, Kobe Bryant passed Michael Jordan on the top scoring list in the NBA. Kobe Bryant is now 3rd on the list which is led by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with (38,387) and Karl Malone with (36,928). Kobe just got (32,292) against the Timberwolves on Sunday, December 14, 2014. He is one of the only players still playing professionally today on that list. He displayed a great attitude when he reached his goal and he also had a huge smile on his face. He is one of the best players in the NBA that is going to be remembered for a long time in NBA history.

Many people believe that he is overrated and that he isn’t the best in the NBA right now. To be honest, he is probably underrated and he is one of the few amazing players that started playing professionally right out of High School. Kobe has been playing with the Lakers ever since he began back in 1996, at the mere age of 18. He has been with the Lakers ever since and he has broken other records as well, like top scorer on the Lakers team, and champion 5 times.

He has worked hard to get where he is now and he keeps improving as time goes on. He’s a great player and is only getting better. People say he isn’t as good as everyone some claim he is, but I believe all that is a lie. Numbers are showing that Kobe Bryant is on fire and isn’t far away from reaching the top. It’s been 18 years in the NBA and one season out for tearing his Achilles tendon from being kicked, and yet he still shot his free throws after that and walked off the court.

Now he is back and as strong as ever, just like when he scored 81 points in a game a few years back and absolutely destroyed competition. Do I believe he is good? Yes, he is an amazing player – scratch that – a legend in the making. In some ways, he is already a legend and his legacy is getting better as each game goes by. So kudos to you Kobe! Keep everyone amazed and awed with your awesome skill.
