Black Students at Yale Send a Powerful Message
Students at Yale University put good use to the saying, “A picture’s worth a thousand words,” when the Yale Black Men’s Union put together one of the most heavy photo essays yet. In early December, people all over the world are struggling to reach out to the family of Michael Brown. But no one really portrayed this current issue so eloquently as these young men did.
“To My Unborn Son,” is a campaign launched by the YBMU. In it, Black men were portrayed holding intimate messages to their unborn children. The notes included topics such as racism and police force, but dug deeper to address the underlying fear and sorrow that Michael Brown’s family must be going through.
