Boys’ Soccer:

Tuesday – SLA @ North Central (4-0 SLA)

DSC_5993 SLA had a comfortable win even though playing at the North Central field. Kurtis Bakerlis, Jordan  Laplatte and Tristan Johnson help the Crusaders lead past their opponents. By half the team went easy and held back to make the home team stay positive about the game, and so the defenders went to the offensive side and the attackers played back on the defensive line.

Wednesday – SLA @ Tahaunto (PPD)

Thursday- Abbey Kelley  Charter @ SLA (2-0 AKF)

Bears edge the Crusaders with a 2-0 win. The offense was not working very well not until the second half when midfielders Leo Zamo, Igor Yoshida along with the wingers Ken and Jordan started making opportunities open up with good passing, but no luck in netting single goal.

Girls’ Soccer:

Tuesday – SLA @ Monty Tech (5-2 MT)

Goals from Mikaela Hernandez and Lisa Jennifer Gifford to keep the Crusaders in the game and by half the game was 2-2. Unfortunately, the team let in three more goals by the final whistle and the final score was 5-2. One thing the whole team can agree on was that all the players played like an actual team that were focused on passing and applying what they learned in practice to strategically attempt to win the game.

Thursday- SLA @ Abbey Kelley Foster (2-0 AKF)

A very tiring game at the end of a week full of games and practices, and so the Crusaders girls couldn’t overcome and grab the win. Both goals came from the SLA defenders deflecting the ball into the goal to give the home team a non deserving win says captain Gillian Stevenson.

Girls volleyball:

Tuesday – Assabet Regional @ SLA (3-0  SLA)

First win of the season! The Lady Crusaders went on the  court with full determination and made a positive record for their season. Isadora Ferreira helped the team stay focused and work as a team to soar past the visiting team by  winning all three sets and see them home.
