The Alienware Alpha is a new console that is coming out and will available for shipping in November 2014. The console will be competing with the xbox One and Playstation 4. The Alpha is supporting 4k video, and has a collection of 3,200+ games available for download. On top of that they have mostly backward compatible games. They are also trying to make gaming more affordable for the average consumer.

The specs on this beautiful piece of hardware is actually quite impressive. At first glance it looks like it’s just a piece of junk. Here are all the specs on every part.

Intel core i5 quad core processor

Operating System

exclusive Alienware interface, windows 8.1 64 bit

alpha chassis with Nvidia Geforce with GPU 2GB GDDR5

Video Card

alpha chassis with Nvidia Geforce with GPU 2GB GDDR5

8GB Dual Channel DDR3L at 1600 MHz

bluetooth 4.0, Intel Dual Band Wireless- AC 7265 1×1

Now the only complaint is the price. It’s way too pricy for what they are offering over their competitors. The competitors have dropped their prices because they know that people aren’t buying them because of that reason. I suggest that Alienware do the same and drop the price by $75.00. It’s a reasonable price for what they are offering and they can keep their competition on the edge. They would also make more money and be able to sell more consoles this way. The only thing is that it doesn’t come with a controller, so you’ll have to buy one.
