God’s Eye View of the Seniors

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

Seniors, within a matter of days you all will be stepping into the unknown; leaving your high school-past in a cap and gown. This turning point in life is about to change everything you’ve ever known. The future is ahead of you; taking the final step from adolescence to adulthood.

In the story Tangled, there is a young girl named Rapunzel. She had magical hair, and ended up being kidnapped by an old woman who wanted to stay young forever. The lady trapped her in a tower to use Rapunzel’s powers, and deceived her into thinking she was safe from the evils of the world in there. Eventually (and after some events in the story) Rapunzel ends up leaving the tower to fulfill her dream.

Seniors, Satan will try and trap you in the tower of fear, the unknown, pain, trials, and who knows what other plans he has – just to deceive you. It is your job to take a leap of faith and step out beyond the “horizon,” that comfort zone you’ve been limited to your whole life; it’s your chance to explore.
God has chosen every single one of you for a greater plan and purpose, beyond your mind’s limits. He is calling you to something greater, to pursue and strive for.

“…the LORD has called me from the womb…” Isaiah 49:1

“…He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world…” Ephesians 1:4

“…before you were born I sanctified you…” Jeremiah 1:5

God is forever good and has already made the plans for your future. Before you even were created the Lord was developing a plan to fit you for His army. Submit yourself to Him and he will fulfill those plans for your life. As you leave high school and move forward, remember this challenge: never be afraid of what you do not see. Everything is already is God’s eye-view.
