Student Corner: Lisa Gifford
This week the Pioneer decided to interview Lisa Gifford, a junior at South Lancaster Academy. She is a varsity basketball player and attempting to get 1,000 points by the time she graduates.
What is your favorite thing about playing basketball?
What I like the most is our team, and how well we get along. At the end of the day, we care about fundamentals, not statistics.
How long have you been on the varsity basketball team?
4 years, I started in 8th grade.
Why do you want to score 1,000 points by the end of next year?
I want to be the first girl at SLA to reach 1,000 points in their high school career. There has been guys that have done it but no girls ever have.
