Pros and Cons of SLA’s First Quarter
The first quarter of
South Lancaster Academy school year officially ended last Friday, October 26. Many students have accomplished a lot in the first leg of the school year, getting good grades, making new friends, and accomplishing other personal goals. The SLA Pioneer sat down with several students to see how they felt about the first quarter of the year and what they might like to see or do moving forward.
Junior Azalea Warner-Walton said, “It was challenging but I think it was good, my hard work paid off. There isn’t really anything that I specifically liked or disliked about the quarter. It was nice and hopefully next quarter will be even better!”
Sophomore Arlan Gagnon said, “I thought it was a nice change from last year, I’m getting used to the system, I kinda hoped that there would’ve been more activities and field trips. I’m looking forward to going to Fire and Ice next year.”
Senior Tia Allain said, “I thought it was good. It was a little harder than I thought it would be. It was nice to be pushed though. I’m looking forward to basketball season next quarter.”
While the first quarter of the 2012-13 school year may not have been spectacular, it seems that students have generally enjoyed this school year so far and are looking forward to the rest of the year. Hopefully students will have plenty to be happy about after next quarter. If you’re a student at SLA, how did you feel about the first quarter? Leave a comment below!
