According to State University (, “Pacific Union College (PUC) is a private, Seventh-day Adventist, residential, co-educational four-year liberal arts college located in Angwin, a small town in the hills above northern California’s Napa Valley, 70 miles from the Pacific Ocean.”

Pacific Union College has been ranked by U.S. News and World Report as one of their “Top Schools” in the Comprehensive College category (Western Region) for at least the last fourteen years. PUC has a particular strength in pre-medical and health related programs, and the percentage of its students accepted into medical school each year is typically among the top ten nation-wide.

PUC offers a variety of sports, such as basketball, volleyball, cross-country, soccer, and softball, with are offered both on a varsity and junior varsity level. With many offerings for prospective college students, this school is a serious plus for those of you who want to be close to the major cities yet not apart of it. PUC is ingrained with christian values, and is a definite place where one can grow in their relationship with God
